Albuquerque Author publishes first booK inspired by

"A brilliant light"

A divine vision Mary experienced* and the call to serve God’s people for ten years in Mexico lingered heavily in her heart.  With age encroaching, she was unable to return to Mexico but if others knew her story, perhaps they would listen to God’s call as she and her soulmate, (Bryan, in her book) had done.

In her naivety, she viewed the idea as a one-time project to fill a summer’s delight.

As a first time book writer, it took three years of God-led determination and the patience of many professionals for Mary to finish the manuscript. The 450-page book is now published and available on Amazon.com.

Look for: Mountaintop Milagro, by Mary Quinalty, a local author who remains in Albuquerque, while writing on a sequel to her book.

What really happens when someone experiences a divine transformation? What is it like to have your life suddenly and miraculously changed by God?

In her book, Mary Quinalty answers these questions from the crucible of her own experience.

In 1990, Mary witnessed a divine vision, high in the remote Sierra Madre Mountains of Mexico. What happened that day changed her life forever—and it wasn’t all goodness and light. With unflinching honesty, Mary reveals small, surprising specifics of her transformation.

As a journalist, she had worked thirty years in the print media and felt confident she could write a book.

Here lies the 1964 International Travelall

This ’64 International Travelall vehicle is a central character in Mary’s book. Loaded with goods from Albuquerque

donors, it carried a message of hope for

poor families living in rural Mexico.

It was high and heavy and its 16” wheel base that enabled it to trudge through rocky, undeveloped roads to reach people living in extreme poverty in Northern Mexico.

The red truck averaged over two dozen round trips, from 1988-1994, and caught the eye of Mexican border Federales each time, not because they were suspicious of the big load it carried, but because of its powerful engine and long carriage.
